Comment on the May 26 prediction: CORRECT, as prices did “drop slowly” that week, enough to create the conditions for a reset back to $3.29 last Monday.
Saturday, June 7, 2025, 6 PM: We’ve been $62ish for oil and $1.99ish for publicly-traded wholesale gas for several weeks now, leading to prices jumping to $3.39, then sliding towards $2.99, and then back to $3.39 multiple times. The last few days, oil is up towards $65 (in tandem with the SP 500 returning to 6000), pulling wholesale gas prices higher, and driving around Grand Rapids today, I didn’t see much of an interest in prices heading back to $2.99. I predict we will see $3.49 this week. -EA

South Bend IN – Speedway x2 by ND down to $2.89 as is Martin’s. Fam. Exp. $3.09, $3.19, $2.88. Lots of $2.88-$2.99 around. Costco $2.75.
Niles MI – WMT $2.95
Gasbuddy app ‘downgraded’ & favorites is not avail on the home screen anymore. It’s still available in the search bar. I have Fam. Express & a key few others on that list to help watch for spikes since the website was downgraded a good while back.
Still $2.69 in Daleville Indiana at your choice of 7 different stations. Google maps with a gas search is easier to get quick prices since the GasBuddy downgrade. If Google would tweak it a little with AI and their vast wealth of information GasBuddy would be dead to me.
Speedway moving to $3.69 in Illinois at this moment,
Speedway hiking to $3.299 in central Indiana
Is it time to buy in mid-Michigan?
Yes..I would say buy.

Oil futures jumped more than 4% on Wednesday following a Reuters report saying that the US embassy in Iraq is preparing to partially evacuate amid security threats.
West Texas Intermediate (CL=F) futures gained more than 4.5% to settle at $68.15 per barrel. Brent crude (BZ=F), the international benchmark, also jumped 4% to settle at $69.77 per barrel.
South Bend IN – Speedway x2 by ND went to $3.29 the other day. One even went to $3.39 for a day. Fam Express also 3.29. Costco 2.75 still.
Niles MI – WMT $3.35
So, $4 by the 4th now with Israel striking Iran?
Unbelievable restraint by retailers today despite the big jump in oil and wholesale still creeping higher. Been keeping my tank full on 2.99 gas in Grand Rapids for a week now.
Prices haven’t gone up in the Lansing area yet and I’m actually shocked.
