Tough Week for Oil = Good Week for Drivers

Comment on the October 19 prediction: Prices rose on 10/21 to $2.15. That’s was a bit higher than I thought, but I still going to score it CORRECT.

Sunday, November 1, 2020, 10AM: Oil prices fell 10% since October 20, and wholesale prices have been following. So, we are set up for lower prices. Sparta, as usual, has been leading the way ($1.86 this morning), and by my calculations, don’t pay more than $2 even for gas right now. No price hike on the horizon. -EA

  1. Paid $1.769 this morning at Thornton in Bond Hill in Cincinnati. Even Stevie Wonder can successfully look for and find sub-$1.90 gas around here

  2. Reset to $2.259 in Chicagoland today, as expected .

  3. Getting close to the spike line around Fort Wayne. $1.85.

  4. Never mind. $2.09 is quite a bit more than it was yesterday, so margins saved. And it appears EVERYONE went along with it.

  5. Indy spike to $2.09 yesterday afternoon/evening.

  6. SW Ohio spiking to $2.159 to $2.199.

  7. $1.739 yesterday in Cincy, just before everyone went to $2.159, for no reason.
