Monday, July 22, 2019, 3:00PM: In RetailLand, we have a wide range of prices in West Michigan right now, from $2.89 in Byron Center to $2.36 in Sparta. In WholesaleLand, after dropping early last week, those prices have stabilized, and we have some new, apparently real tensions in the Middle East. So, we are setting up for a price reset soon, and right now it looks like the new price will be in the neighborhood of $2.89. Fill up Tuesday early! -EA

The name of the site is based off an essay Ed wrote for the Grand Rapids Press titled "The Gas Game". The current website was established later by Patrick DeHaan after he and Ed predicted gas price hikes on GasBuddy's website GrandRapidsGasPrices.com, as well as Ed’s personal web page.
Note: To be precise, add 9/10 of a cent to all prices described on this web page.

I filled up everything this morning, and used a 60 cent Kroger discount, which probably means prices will continue falling.
Many of our stations in my part of SW Ohio were $2.399 yesterday evening. This morning, many of them were $2.899.
Indy spiking to $2.799.
Chicago area going to $3.19/3.29 (16 cents below the hike two weeks ago)
Looks like Lansing/Mid-Michigan may be spiking to $2.89
$2.99 is the target number for Ann Arbor-Ypsilanti.
South Bend IN – Speedway by ND went from $2.61 to $2.79 today. SBN avg $2.679
Filled up at Costco for $2.49 last night.
These spikes just aren’t holding like they used to. Stations dropping back 40 cents 48 hours after spiking….
Indy spiking to $2.859.
South Bend IN – Speedway by ND went from $2.61 to $2.85 today. SBN avg was $2.678
Costco $2.55
Niles MI holding at2.59-2.69
Cincinnati and SW Ohio with another early evening spike to $2.899.
All while crude and RBOB dropped by 2%
Crude slipped $3.00 by noon Wednesday. I hope this is a harbinger for the Chicago Spot price so, for one week at least, week we will not get hosed.
Crude plummeting, gasoline plummeting…I smell a spike!
I wouldn’t put it past ‘em Rufus. It is in their “bag of tricks” lol
Can’t speak for other markets but Speedway’s average is down more than 50 cents in Chicagoland since the last hike a couple weeks ago. A couple days’ rise in spot prices now seems to be pointing us toward a Monday hike.
