BP’s Toledo Refinery FINALLY restarting!

Only a month late to finish a complete restart (original deadline was 11/15), BP will finish its planned maintenance at its Toledo, Ohio refinery. With Midwest and Nationwide gasoline stockpiles suffering, the time couldn’t be better. The capacity at the refinery is 160,000bpd.

According to Reuters, the refinery should be completely operational by the end of this week.

The story:

NEW YORK, Dec 7 (Reuters) – BP’s (BP.L: Quote, Profile, Research) 160,000-barrel-per-day refinery in Toledo, Ohio, will complete a restart next week following planned maintenance, a source familiar with operations said on Friday. “It’s all but completed,” the source said of the refinery restart. The Toledo refinery’s two crude units were restarted last week and the last of the refinery’s two cokers is scheduled for restart Friday, according to the source. A final unit, the refinery’s sulfur unit, is scheduled to restart next week, said the source. The Toledo refinery went down for extensive maintenance in September. At the time, a company spokesman said it was the biggest turnaround in the refinery’s history.

Lets see how this effects next weeks DOE report!
