Deja Vu All Over Again — heading back to $3.09

Comment on the July 22 prediction: Kind of CORRECT, as prices rose, but they went all the way to $3.09.

Monday, August 6, 2018, 9PM: A snoozefest lately in the energy markets, but the numbers look almost the same as they did before the last Michigan hike on July 24. Estimated price to retailers is about $2.88, while retail prices are lower, sometimes in the $2.70’s. That strongly suggests we are going back to $3.09 again, either Tuesday or Wednesday. -EA

  1. Guess it will take the upcoming switch to winter blend fuel to break this $3+ gas trend….at least I hope so. Mid day trading has spot back above $2.10 once again

  2. South Bend IN – Speedway by ND went from 2.59 this morning to $2.99 now.
SBN avg was 2.75. Will fill up at Costco for $2.56.

  3. lots of stations NW Ohio rt 20 corridor down to 2.599-2.659 this morning- some down 10c overnight- time to spike it to 2.899 especially as spot is falling fast today

  4. Last week’s spike to $3.09 in SE MI has seen prices recede by .25 or more. Costco/Sam’s stayed at $2.73 the entire time.

  5. The GREEDway near me was at $2.669 for the past three weeks—spiked to $2.799 with the rest of the Toledo area yesterday.
