All Signs Point to Higher Prices

Comment on the March 1 prediction: Prices jumped to $3.39 on Monday, so the prediction was correct.

Thursday, March 5, 2026, 7 PM: I just updated my spreadsheet, and this was not a good day for Gas Game players. Midwest wholesale gas prices were up 9 cents this morning. Oil closed the day near $6 a barrel higher. Costco raised its price for regular to $2.99. Diesel is soaring. All evidence suggests another price hike is coming soon, to $3.59 or higher. Will it be on Friday? Over the weekend? Will we make it to Monday? I am going to top my tank tomorrow morning. -EA
