Best to Fill Up Today, Just in Case

Comment on the May 23 posting: $3.09’s appeared slowly but surely, but what a slow-motion hike that was.

Wednesday, June 2, 2021, Noon: The recent move higher by oil prices has continued this week, and gas prices are due to follow. I would not be surprised to see a hike on Thursday or Friday to $3.19, but I also would not be surprised if they wait until next week, given recent Big Red passiveness. I’m going to fill up after work today, for $2.99 or so, out of an abundance of caution. -EA

  1. Hike to $3.35 in Chicagoland today after minimal retreat from last week’s $3.29. Flattening the bottom of the price curve some more.

  2. Indy area spike to $3.099 led by Speedway as usual.

  3. Another week (5 days) another hike! $3.45 in Chicagoland.

  4. $3.15 in Dayton and Columbus

  5. $3.159 in sw Ohio. Thanks Speedway!!
