As the local gap between high and low prices widen, I am fearful for a hike. Not only because my benchmark station re-raised after a drop to 2.68, but also because the same station is now at 2.75, and we’re usually 10-20 cents higher. PADD numbers last week could be the reason we haven’t seen bigger Grand Rapids drops into the 2.50s and 2.60s.
Make sure come tonight you’re full. I’m not 100% on the date of a hike, but am thinking it will be sooner rather than later unless something changes this afternoon.

We’re getting down to zero cent margins again ($2.70 today), with some places way below that. $2.479 in Sturgis, but I’ve heard that prices out of the Huntington, In terminal have been considerably cheaper than Michigan prices ever since BP’s refinery came back online.
I would guess that we will see either $2.899 today or maybe $2.959 tomorrow with the market up 2 cents already.
