Wholesale prices holding steady, so retail prices should fall a bit

Comment on Monday’s prediction:  Prices rose on Wednesday to $2.99, so the prediction was CORRECT.

Friday, August 3, 2007, 4:00 PM:  Although we had a price hike this week, Indiana and Ohio did not, so they are enjoying prices in the $2.60’s!  Meanwhile, the AXXIS prices have been pretty stable, suggesting our current price range is $2.79 to $2.99.  (The NYMEX prices are cheaper, so the Chicago Summer Premium is in full force, as it has been since May.)  It looks like the low right now in the area is $2.87, excluding the price clubs, so we can expect further price drops everywhere as we head towards $2.79.  Not much of prediction, though, as prices usually fall over the weekend.  (On Saturday, wait until the afternoon the fill up if you need to.)
