Comment on last week’s prediction: By Sunday, prices were below $2.50 all over town. By last Wednesday, though, I think only one or two places. But I had the right idea, so I’ll score myself 1/2 WRONG, 1/2 CORRECT.
Monday, September 4, 2006, 4:00 PM: Let’s sit back a moment and marvel at the fact that gasoline prices have fallen 70 cents a gallon in a little more than a month. That is fantastic! But with wholesale prices settling in the $1.75-$1.80 range lately, I am expecting a price hike this week, with the new price in the range of $2.53 to $2.59 a gallon. I know that is the current price range in some places, but we are down to $2.43 at other places.
