August 29

Hello everyone, just thought I’d shoot you an e-mail about WHEN the gas price hike will take effect.

Initially yesterday, in the excitment of the hurricane and gas prices shooting up 20+ cents per gallon, I failed to realize it was a Sunday night, meaning markets in the U.S. won’t actually close until Monday at 5pm, therefore as soon as the markets close today, the hike in wholesale costs will THEN be passed along, meaning I don’t expect a rise until Tuesday morning.

Another positive indication, is that prices have come down about 10 cents off their peak, ALTHOUGH prices are STILL currently in record territory, they aren’t as bad as the could be *AT THIS TIME*. Prices may fluctuate, but at this e-mailing at 12:15pm, I am calling now for gas prices tomorrow to be in the area of 2.85-2.92.

This could change, stay tuned to Grand Rapids Gas Prices for the latest.

Again, this is the last day of 2.55 territory for a handful of days. Fill up all your vehicles!
