Lower.

Comment on the August 12 prediction: Prices have been falling slowly but surely, so the prediction was CORRECT.

Monday, August 23, 2010, 9:00PM: Continued weakness in the energy markets and the stock markets means lower wholesale prices, and still lower retail prices. The 0-cent margin price this evening is about $2.38, so I am predicting more price cuts and no hike for at least the rest of the week. — Ed Aboufadel

  1. Regular at MI US-131 and M-89 in Plainwell Michigan $2.44/gal. Diesel $2.82/gal.

  2. GREEDway just jumped to 2.65 in Ohio and 2.69 in Michigan.

  3. You can bet that the prices are going to go up for Labor Day if not before, some people don’t care how low the cost of a barrel is, they are simply greedy. When oil was $150 a barrel the cost was $4.25 at the pump, you would think that with a barrel of oil being under $75 gas would be down near $2.10 here in Michigan but its not anywhere near that. but it sure should be!!

  4. Yep – just checked Cedar Springs where you were able to buy it for 2.40 something, and they’re up to $2.69 now too. Guess it will be Sam’s Club for me on the way home since they’re really good about keeping the price down through the entire day when everybody else goes up. Makes for a line-up, but they make more $$$$$$$$ while we get to save a little, anyway.
