After two days of hikes, no more in the near future

Comment on my 12/2 prediction:  Prices fell from 12/2 until 12/12, definitely below $3 everywhere, so the prediction was CORRECT.

Friday, December 14, 2007, 4:30 PM:  I’ve been busy with finals, so I apologize for not posting lately.  I was thinking we would get a hike to $3.09 on Monday, based on the wholesale prices, but we didn’t see a hike until Wednesday, but only to $2.99.  Wednesday saw a big jump in wholesale prices, so we got another hike to $3.09 on Thursday.  We’re still at $3.09 today, except for some $2.99’s here and there by stations that made the Wednesday hike but not Thursday.  The 0-cent margin price is about $2.94, so expect prices to fall slowly through the weekend and on Monday, and some aggressive retailers may drop back down below $3.
