I know your predictions are based on prices in west michigan, but why are we still see prices ranging from 3.48-3.52 in mt pleasant. Will we see anymore significant price drops in the mt pleasant area anytime soon?

Wholesale prices still need to come down 5-10 cents to make $2.999 profitable. The market is down about 3 right now, so I assume we will get another drop tonight.

Regardless of how much wholesale prices drop the next couple days, you won't see widespread $2.999s until next week.

I am concerned that if oil prices continue to drop, that Russia, Iran, Venezuela, etc. might do something to trigger a price increase. I am certainly eager for lower gas prices, but it may come at a cost. The major oil exporting countries are not the friendliest and they may react dangerously if backed into a corner.

That would be welcomed. By the way, what is your projected long term outlook for gas prices, say in 1 year at this time? I know it is a bold move to make an answer on this, just wondered if you had any thoughts.
