Expect prices not to fall this weekend; perhaps another hike on Monday?

Friday, March 9, 8:00 AM:  Just a quick note while on the road.  The hike to $2.59 could have been worse, based on wholesale prices earlier this week.  On GrandRapidsGasPrices.com, I posted a quick note Wednesday night predicting the hike yesterday, but I thought we would see $2.65.  Based on yesterday’s market action, the 20-cent [...]

What da hay? Lousy DOE report.

Well, I sure was wrong about a price hike! However, as everyone has noticed, prices have not gone any lower than around 2.38. I’m surprised that they are still this low while wholesale prices remain high at around 1.87. Last year, when there was no “RBOB” (ethanol) contract, and the wholesale price was 1.71, we [...]

Reminder: $2.65ish tomorrow!

Just a reminder to those who forgot/etc.
Tomorrow (Monday) should bring a price increase in gasoline prices

as high as 2.69.
A helpful hint: MANY stations in the East Paris/Cascade Rd corridor are
selling at 2.38, AND I’ve been told that as of Saturday, Speedway at
those corners is [...]

If I could buy 200 gallons of gas on February 1 each year …

Thursday, March 1, 2007, 3:30 PM:  Well, maybe that’s the last time I allow myself to be distracted for three weeks by my job.  On February 6, we were at $2.16 a gallon.  Today, it is $2.59.  What is going on?  To be sure, NYMEX and wholesale prices have been climbing.  On January 22, NYMEX [...]

GR Gas: Wholesale Prices Up! $2.65?

Where to start?
Not really sure. The DOE Report this week was again terrible. Stocksfell more than expected, and oil inventories didn’t rise as much asexpected. Refineries didn’t utilize their capacity well enough.Concerns over summer driving, additional Iran sanctions, etc. Its nota pretty picture.
Right now on the market, we’re up to 1.90+ for a gallon of [...]
